Terms of Use

CoinTrove ("the app") is licensed to you by the CoinTrove developer (an individual developer) ("we", "us") under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which governs your use of the app. These Terms supplement the Standard EULA; if they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails. By using the app you agree to both.

1. Subscriptions and auto-renewal

The first 3 scans are free. CoinTrove Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. There is no free trial; the first 3 scans are free instead.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices may vary by country and may change; Apple will notify you of price increases where required.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Pro includes a fair-use limit on daily scans (shown in the app) to keep the service sustainable and prevent abuse.

2. Estimates, not appraisals

Coin identifications are generated automatically by AI and may be wrong. Values are estimates for information only, based on catalog data, recent market listings or AI estimates (labeled as such), and are not an appraisal, authentication, grading or an offer to buy or sell. Actual value depends on condition, authenticity, demand and other factors the app cannot assess from photos. Before buying, selling or insuring a coin, consult a professional dealer or grading service. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the app.

3. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: no reverse engineering beyond what law allows, automated or bulk requests, circumventing scan limits or purchase checks, or uploading content that is unlawful, that you have no right to use, or that shows people or personal information. We may suspend access for abuse.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us and our service providers a limited licence to process them to provide identification, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-party data

Catalog and price information may come from third parties (such as Numista and eBay listings). It is provided as-is and remains the property of its owners.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not stated in the Standard EULA, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

7. Changes and termination

We may update the app, its features, scan limits and these Terms. We will post changes here with a new effective date. You can stop using the app at any time; remember to cancel your subscription through Apple.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable law of your place of residence, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
